Description

The wall enclosing the garden on the north side of Thornes House dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble and stands approximately 3 metres high. There is a pointed arch opening on the south side, located to the west of the house, which features an early 19th-century studded ledged and braced door.
