Description
Pithayne is a house that dates back to the early 17th century, with a late 18th-century front and early 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from red sandstone random rubble and features a steeply pitched slate roof. On the left side, there is a large external stepped rendered stack with a brick chimney. The building is two storeys high and has irregularly placed windows.
On the first floor, there are three sash windows on the left, each with a single glazing bar, while the other windows are from the 20th century. The ground floor has one window to the left of the door, which is a sash window with a single glazing bar, and two 20th-century sash windows to the right. The entrance features a pedimented doorcase with console brackets, a frieze of swags, thin fluted pilasters, panelled reveals, and a six-panel door that is partially glazed.
The left side of the building has an early 20th-century square bay window next to the chimney breast, with a sash window above it.
