Description

Glyndale and Chorleys is a house, now divided, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble and features double Roman tiles with brick stacks on the left and right. The building has two storeys and five bays. The windows are 20th-century cruciform with leaded panes, except for the outer bay on the left (Chorleys), which has a first-floor late 17th-century cruciform window above a casement. All openings have brick lintels. The central entrance for Glyndale features a pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters and a six-panel door that is partially glazed. There are iron cross ties in the wall. The entrance to Chorleys is located in a single-storey addition on the left, which has a double Roman tiled roof, a casement window, and a plank door.
