Description

The gatepiers and wall fronting Sand Street in Netherfield date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The wall is constructed of red sandstone random rubble masonry and stands about 1 metre high, topped with saddle-back coping. There are square gatepiers made of red brick, featuring moulded Ham stone coping and ball finials, which are centrally positioned. The entrance is completed with 20th-century wrought iron gates.
