Description
Two gatepiers, gates, railings, and a wall fronting the road at Chapel House date from the early 19th century. The gatepiers are made of coursed, squared red sandstone and stand about 1.5 metres high, topped with flat yellow sandstone caps. The wall, which adjoins the neighboring properties, slopes down to about 1 metre high and features a centrally located opening made of squared coursed red sandstone with yellow sandstone flat coping. The cast iron railings have a spearhead design with standards and flank a central flight of six steps that leads to a cast iron gate, which matches the design of the railings.
