Description

The Manse is a former manse to the Congregational Chapel, now a private house, dating from the early 19th century. It features a squared, coursed red sandstone facade with random rubble on the returns. All openings on the facade have brick surrounds. The building has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and a 20th-century soffit board, along with a brick stack on the right side. The structure is two storeys high and has two bays. It includes sash windows and an unusually narrow doorway on the left, which has a moulded surround and a door with three long vertical panels and one horizontal panel, accessed by two steps. The Manse is primarily listed for its group value.
