Description

This early 19th-century limekiln is constructed from red sandstone random rubble and is set into a steep bank beside the road. It features curved abutments and three relieving arches of diminishing size, which are located below a parapet that is obscured by ivy as of the last survey in December 1983. The square openings are partially blocked. This limekiln is considered a well-preserved example of its type.
