Description

This pair of farm cottages, dating from the mid-19th century, is located 20 metres west of Old Sock Cottage in Mudford. They are constructed of red brick in English bond, featuring alternate stretcher courses made of glazed black brick, with Ham stone quoins and dressings. The cottages have plain clay tile roofs adorned with ornamental tile bands and ornamental ridges, and a central brick chimney stack.

The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays. Each cottage has an outside timber arched porch with a tiled roof. The central bay of both houses projects and is double-gabled with plain bargeboards. The windows are chamfered mullioned without labels, featuring rectangular leaded lights, with three lights below and two lights above. These cottages are identical to 'Amherst' on Main Street, Mudford, and the Hinton Farm Cottage type, all of which are part of the Goodford estate.
