Description

This house dates to around 1840. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a slate roof. The design follows a double-depth plan and is symmetrical, with a two-window front. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes, set within flat stone arches. A 6-panel door is set within a porch constructed of stone slabs, which curves slightly forward towards the top. A 20th-century window has been inserted above the porch, serving as a bathroom window. On the right-hand return, there is a late 19th-century two-over-two-pane sash window on the ground floor, set within a moulded architrave. To the right of this window is a former doorway, now converted into a window, with panelled pilasters. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the heritage register for its contribution to the wider group value of the surrounding buildings.
