Description

House. Built in the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. The house is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys and has an attic. The left and right sides of the central entrance have mid-19th century four-paned sash windows, those on the first floor positioned directly below the eaves. A prominent gabled dormer window with paired four-paned sashes is situated in the centre of the roof slope. A 20th-century gabled stone porch with a four-panel door (the upper panels now glazed) sits over the main entrance. A datestone above the entrance is illegible. An integral end stack with a rebuilt 20th-century shaft is on the left side, and an external end stack is on the right. A mid-20th century two-storey, flat-roofed addition to the rear is not of special architectural interest. The building is included on the list primarily for its group value.
