Description
12 Court Barton is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of painted limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with stepped stone coping and moulded kneelers at the gable ends, along with a brick stack on the left side. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range.
On the first floor, there are flat gauged stone arches above three 20th-century two-light casements, each with two panes. These are positioned above the ground-floor windows, which consist of two shallow bays on the right that were originally early 19th-century shop windows, now fitted with a single pane of plate glass. The ground floor also includes a 20th-century door, flanked by an early 19th-century sash window on the left with eight over eight panes, and a plank door to the far left. The interior has not been inspected.
