Description
Brentwood is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with stone coped gables and plain kneelers. The house has a brick ridge stack and gable end stacks, and it displays flush quoins. It stands two storeys tall, with a small single storey projection at the northeast corner under a catslide roof.
The northeast elevation consists of three bays. The left bay, which includes the single storey projection, is a mid-19th century addition and features a mid-19th century glazing bar shop front, with a doorway around the corner to the right. The main part of the house is double fronted, featuring a central doorway with a plank door and a mid-19th century open-work gabled timber porch with a tiled roof. On either side of the doorway are 2-light square section flush mullion windows, with two similar windows located above.
