Description
Shaw Lane Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Shaw Lane in the parish of Parwich. It is constructed from rubble limestone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof, which has a brick ridge stack and a brick gable end stack. The cottage is low and has two storeys.
On the southeast elevation, there is a doorway on the left with a wooden lintel and a half-glazed door. To the right of the doorway is a window with a chamfered stone surround, followed by a narrower window with a chamfered stone surround. Further to the right, there is a window that was formerly a doorway. On the first floor, there is a window with a chamfered stone surround on the left and a larger 20th-century window to the right.
