Description
The Old Post Office, along with its garden wall, gate piers, and railings, is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with brick gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and a double fronted south elevation. The central doorway is framed by stone jambs, a lintel, and a dripmould, and it contains a six-panelled door, with the middle panels raised and fielded. On either side of the door are glazing bar sash windows with stone lintels and sills, and there are two similar windows above. The property is complemented by a low garden wall, which is topped with gate piers and iron railings.
