Description
No. 7 is a house from the early to mid-19th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble with lower courses, cills, and a doorcase made from Ham Hill stone. It has a slate roof featuring stepped stone coping and brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window range. There are flat gauged stone arches over 8/8-pane sash windows, and the six-panel door is glazed at the top, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars and some remaining ornamentation. The doorcase is recessed and has plain imposts to the archivolt. The interior has not been inspected. There are subsidiary features including a low limestone rubble forecourt wall with Ham Hill stone capping, which supports spearhead railings. Gouldsbrook Terrace, the new road into Goulds Barton, was established before 1841.
