Description
The Vicarage is a vicarage built around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone and features a Ham Hill stone plinth, platband, cill course, voussoirs, and a doorcase. The roof is slate with stepped stone coping and stone stacks at the gable ends, one of which is rendered. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high, presenting a symmetrical three-window facade with a 20th-century stepped-back wing to the left. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes with flat arches and stepped stone voussoirs, and the ground-floor windows have louvred shutters. A wide eaves cornice supported by brackets runs along the top, flanking a bracketed open pediment over the central bay, which is stepped forward. There is a cill course on the first floor and a platband just above the doorcase that separates the floors. The front door features three horizontal panels, glazed at the top, and is topped by a semi-circular overlight with five radiating panes. The doorcase includes panelled pilasters and an archivolt. The left wing has 6/6-pane sashes with horns above an inserted carport. The interior has not been inspected.
