Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located on the roadside at the south side of Bath Road in Cossington. It is made of dressed stone with a rounded top and is partially sunken into the ground. A cast iron plate is attached to the milestone, featuring incised lettering that reads "4 MILES to B'WATER". This milestone is part of the Bridgwater Turnpike Trust.
