Description
Cossington Park is a house that dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, with some elements from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The exterior is roughcast with a glazed double-Roman tile roof and coped verges, featuring brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with a facade of three bays on one side and two bays on the other. It has 18th-century three-light iron casements with leaded lights, along with some later casements. The right wing has a blank gable wall that faces the roadside. There is a door opening located in the angle between the two wings, which features a panelled door and a porch. A wall along the roadside ramps down and obscures the ground floor of the house, containing a 4-centred head door opening with a plank door. There is a late 19th or early 20th-century addition to the west, but this is not considered of special interest. Inside, there are remnants of an early roof and some 18th-century features.
