Description
This milestone, located on the roadside at the coordinates ST 3825 3852, dates from the 18th century. It is made of dressed stone with a rounded top and is partially sunken into the ground. Attached to the stone is a cast-iron plate featuring incised lettering that reads "6 MILES TO B'WATER." This milestone is part of the Bridgwater Turnpike Trust.
