Description

This is an early 19th-century house with a service wing that has been converted into a separate cottage. The main house is constructed of coursed and squared rubble, with a hipped roof covered in bitumen-treated slate and wide eaves. The service wing, now Great House Cottage, has a roof of triple-Roman tiles.

The house is symmetrical and two storeys high, with three bays. The central bay projects slightly. It has sash windows with glazing bars. A central door opening leads to a panelled door with a transom light containing glazing bars, and a trellis porch.

Great House Cottage, the service wing, is a single-storey, four-bay building also with sash windows and glazing bars. It has a door opening between the third and fourth bays, with a panelled door and a trellis porch. To the extreme left of the cottage is an archway, providing a throughway with a segmental head.
