Description

Holywell House is a house from the late 18th century, constructed of Flemish bond brick with rubble returns, featuring coped verges and a pantile roof with end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical frontage, standing two storeys high with three bays. The first floor has two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, while the ground floor features similar but taller three-light casements. Each window is adorned with rubbed brick voussoirs and a central freestone key. The central door opening has been altered and now has a segmental head with paired 20th-century glazed doors and a transom light. At the rear, there is a lower height wing. The house is marked on an estate map from 1792, which is held at the Somerset Record Office.
