Description
The Laurels is a house built in the late 18th century, constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a pantile roof. It features a central entrance and has a low end to the left. The building is two storeys high with three bays in the main house, while the single-storey low end projects slightly forward. The central bay of the main house also breaks forward. Decorative red brick is used at the corners, and there is a three-course band at the first floor. The entrance has a 20th-century half-glazed door with a blocked overlight above it. The windows are plate-glass sashes, and there are keyed flat brick arches throughout the structure. The gable ends are raised, and there are stacks at each end. On the right gable end, ties form the initials GN. The low end shows signs of having its eaves level raised and has a casement window beneath a segmental arch on the right return, with a stack at the left end.
