Description
West Linton Farmhouse is a late 18th-century brick house located in Kilpin Balkholme. It is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantile roof. The house follows a central-hallway entry plan, with a continuous outshut to the rear. The main facade is two storeys high and three bays wide, featuring a six-panel door with a divided overlight, set within a doorcase with fluted pilasters. Throughout the facade, there are four-pane sash windows, each set beneath a flat brick arch. The roof has gable coping, shaped kneelers, and end stacks. A 19th-century cross wing to the rear is not considered of particular architectural interest.
