Description
Dale House is a late 18th-century brick house built in Flemish bond. It features a symmetrical design with two storeys and five bays, topped by a timber modillion cornice. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and are adorned with gauged brick arches and fluted stone keystones. There are bands above the outer pairs of ground floor windows. The entrance has a doorcase with engaged Tuscan columns and an open pediment, with a fluted border that continues in an arch around a shell motif partially set within the pediment. The house has coped gables and chimneys. At the rear, there are three parallel gabled wings, with the left-hand wing being lower and likely a later addition. The middle wing features a tall stair window with a round head and glazing bars.
