Description
Trinity Methodist Church is a Methodist church built around 1860. It is constructed of stuccoed brick, although it currently has an inappropriate textured coating. The facade features a symmetrical design in a classical style, consisting of two storeys and seven bays. The outer bays project forward, while the three central bays are slightly set forward beneath a pediment. The lower storey is adorned with Tuscan pilasters and a triglyph frieze, while the upper storey showcases Corinthian pilasters and a balustrade. The outer bays are flanked by paired pilasters. The first-floor windows have round heads and keystones, except for the outermost ones. The three central bays on the ground floor contain doorways with round heads and keystones, and above the outer bays are domes.
Inside, the southern part of the nave has been partitioned off and altered in the late 20th century. The northern part retains east and west galleries, supported by fluted iron columns and featuring timber fronts panelled above a triglyph frieze. At the north end, there are three elliptical arches, with the middle arch being wider and containing a raised pulpit, which has a gallery behind it.
