Description

This is an early 19th-century manor house with later alterations, accompanied by front gates and railings. The house is constructed of brick in an irregular bond, featuring a pantile roof and cast-iron gate and railings. It is arranged around a central hallway entry with a cross wing to the rear, standing two storeys high with five bays, the central bay projecting slightly. The front door is a six-panel design and sits beneath an overlight within a pedimented Doric doorcase. Four-pane fixed windows are set within the original openings, each with a segmental arch. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building.

Inside, a fine open-string staircase has carved ends to the treads, slender turned balusters, and a ramped handrail. The principal rooms are accessed via six-panel doors within architraves. A cross beam with a pyramidal stop chamfer is present in the right reception room, alongside a dentilled cornice to the landing.

The gates and railings are ornamented with finials, and the art nouveau gateposts are topped with ball finials.
