Description
The remains of the old church, dating from the 14th century, are located on the south side of Front Street in Laxton. The structure is built of rubble with ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. It consists of a single bay. There is a plain pointed doorway on the west side and a lancet window on the north side. To the south, there is an inserted round-headed window and evidence of a blocked priest's door. The east side features a fine 4-light Decorated window, which is flanked by angle buttresses, and there is a blind oculus above it. The gables are stone-coped with shaped kneelers. There are no notable internal features.
