Description
Metham Hall Farmhouse is a house built around 1800, with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and has a roof made of pantiles and Welsh slate. The building is square in plan, with the original main facade facing south, which has been replaced by a west entrance following the extension to the north.
The west facade features two storeys and three bays. It has a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a doorcase that has a small canopy supported by plain consoles. The windows are 16-pane throughout. The roof is hipped and has two tall stacks at the eaves level. The original facade includes a central six-panel door with a divided overlight, flanked by 16-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors, and a central four-pane sash window above the door, all set beneath segmental arches.
