10/11 The Manor House GV II

Pair of houses. 1714 on datestone but with substantial later C18 and C19 alterations. Brick in English bond, pantile roof. Cross wing to rear of each house. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Central bays, both have round-arched, pilastered doorcases with fanlights, that to left with half-glazed door, that to right with 6-fielded-panel door. Datestone over right door reads H . 4-pane sashes with flat brick arches throughout. Paired gutter I M 1714 brackets. Hipped roof, end stacks. Interior: kitchen has built-in 6-panel round-arched corner cupboard. Pantry door has massive L hinges. Massive board back door with decorative strap hinges. Chamfered cross beams with hand-cut joists. Closed-string staircase with square section balusters, turned newels, and ramped handrail.
