Description
The Manor House is a pair of houses built in 1714, although they have significant alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure is made of brick in English bond with a pantile roof and features a cross wing at the rear of each house. It stands two storeys high and has four bays. The central bays on both houses have round-arched doorcases with pilasters and fanlights; the left side has a half-glazed door, while the right side has a six-fielded-panel door. Above the right door is a datestone that reads "H". The windows are four-pane sashes with flat brick arches throughout, and there are paired gutter brackets dated 1714. The roof is hipped with end stacks.
Inside, the kitchen includes a built-in six-panel round-arched corner cupboard, and the pantry door features massive L-shaped hinges. There is also a large board back door with decorative strap hinges. The interior displays chamfered cross beams with hand-cut joists, and the closed-string staircase has square section balusters, turned newels, and a ramped handrail.
