BAWDRIP CP EAST SIDE LANE (South side) ST33NW 8/6 No 2 (Tudor Court Farmhouse) - - II

Manor house, subseqently a farmhouse, now a house. C16, C17 alteration, much altered externally late C20. Rendered and roughcast, exposed lias quoins, pantiled roof in 2 sections of differing height, brick stacks. L-plan. Two storeys and attic, 1:2 bays, 3-light C20 casements in vernacular style, C20 cills, gabled dormer to attic with a similar casement. Central gabled lias porch, pantiled roof, segmental head outer door opening, broad ribbed and studded inner door. Returns in conforming style. Interior with 2 framed ceilings in 9 panels to ground floor; timber framed screen with 2 doorways of depressed 4-centred shape; exceptional amount of painted plaster of late C16 early C17 including trailing floral decoration, texts and scenes including the prodigal son (sic).
