Description
The Rectory, now divided into two dwellings, dates from the early 19th century, with alterations and additions made by Knowles of Bridgwater in 1848. The building is roughcast with wide eaves and a slate roof, featuring rendered stacks, one of which has a projecting chimney breast. It is two storeys high with a 1:3 bay arrangement and 12-pane sash windows on the first floor, which are fitted with louvred shutters. The central porch is pedimented and has acanthus enriched eaves, with a door opening that features an eared and moulded architrave and paired two-panelled doors. There is also a section of high rubble wall along the roadside, which terminates at the southern end in a pair of gate piers, with a 20th-century gate.
