Description
No. 2 Princes Street is a commercial office building, likely dating from around 1820. It has a rendered exterior and a Welsh slated roof that is concealed behind a parapet. The building is three stories tall and features three bays. The ground floor has a late 20th-century door in a plain recessed opening on the left side, with two late 20th-century semi-circular arched windows in the center and right bays. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane sliding sash windows set in architraves; the center window is in a semi-circular arched recess and has a flat bracketed hood, while the outer windows have pedimented hoods on corbel brackets. The second floor has 6-pane sash windows, with the right-hand window replaced by a plain late 20th-century window. There are band courses at the first and second floor levels, followed by a cornice and a panelled parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
