Description
No. 24 Chorley New Road is a house, currently used as offices, dating from around 1830. It features a rendered exterior over brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a basement and has a two-window range, with the entrance located to the right. The doorway is framed by an architrave with half columns that have fluted capitals. To the left of the entrance is a semicircular segmental bay window supported by six similar columns, along with a frieze cornice and a parapet with upstands. Above, there are two 2-pane sash windows and a dormer window in the roof. The building has an end wall stack and a parallel rear range that is of greater height. The interior has not been inspected. This property forms a group with Nos. 22 and 22A.
