Description

Statue of JT Fielding, dated 1896, created by J Bowden of Bolton. It is made of stone, featuring a sandstone figure set on a stone plinth. The inscription, located in a raised aedicule, notes that JT Fielding served as the Secretary of the Operative Cotton Spinners Association and the United Trades Council of Bolton. The statue was erected by the trade unionists and the public of Bolton and presented to the Borough in 1896.
