Description
No. 6 King Edward Street is a house that has been converted for office use. It dates from around 1800, though it may have an earlier core. The building is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and features a three-window range. The doorway on the left was originally a window, and its moulded stone stilted architrave cuts into the former flat-arched brick window head. To the right, there are two paired 12-pane sash windows, which may have been renewed. The upper storey has similar paired sash windows, along with a single central 12-pane sash window, all of which are flush framed. There is a passage entry to the left, featuring a Tuscan pedimented entry. The building has a moulded wood eaves cornice and end wall stacks. The original entrance may have been from the passage, where a blocked pegged wood architrave can still be seen.
