Former county police office. c1840. Coursed and squared stone with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 7-window range with outer and central advanced gabled bays, and central entrance. Gothic style. Central 4-centred arched doorway with hoodmould and 2-light mullioned window above beneath high coped gable with finials. Flanking single and 2-light windows, with 2-light mullioned windows in outer gabled wings. All are mullioned with arched lights. Axial stacks.

SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearhead cast-iron railings on low stone plinth wall with panelled stone gate piers with strongly overhanging caps at boundary with street.
