Description

Nos. 5 and 7 Market Place is a pair of shops with accommodation above, dating from around 1800. The building has three storeys and a four-window range. On the left, there is an inserted shop front, while the right side features a late 19th-century shop front with an egg and dart cornice on the fascia. A round-arched passage entry is located to the left. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, and the attic storey has 9-pane sash windows, both with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The building is topped with a plain eaves cornice and has a central stack.
