Description

A late 18th-century house, now a shop with accommodation above, stands on Market Place. The building is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high and has a five-window front. A central Doric doorcase is flanked by later shop windows with panelled rebates. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes, with the lower lights lacking glazing bars. The central window has stressed architraves and a swag in the entablature. Other windows have flat-arched, gauged brick heads. A modillion eaves cornice and end wall stacks are present. To the left is a lower, narrower single-window range, which may have originally been built as part of the Bull's Head Public House. This section contains a six-panelled door with a radial fanlight in an open pedimented case.
