Description
No. 9 Dollar Street is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with a cornice and parapet that have been rebuilt in reconstituted stone. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, and there are truncated brick and rendered stacks at both ends. The building has three storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window range.
On the first floor, there are three 6/6-pane sash windows set in plain reveals, while the second floor has three similar 3/3-pane sash windows with stone cills. The ground floor includes two 19th-century plate glass sash windows. To the right of the ground floor is a six-panel door with a fanlight, also in a plain reveal. The structure has a shallow plinth, with band courses above the ground and first floors, and a cill band at the first floor. The cornice is rudimentary and has been rebuilt, and the parapet is coped. The interior has not been inspected.
