Description
No. 7 Dollar Street is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with a parapet. The building is three stories tall and has a four-window range.
On the first floor, there are four 6/6-pane sash windows set in plain reveals with stone cills. The second floor also has four similar 3/6-pane sash windows. The ground floor features four more 6/6-pane sash windows, along with a 6-panel door that has a decorative fanlight above it, all framed in a moulded stone doorcase topped with an open dentil pediment. To the left, there is another 6-panel door with a single-pane overlight in a round-headed opening with a beaded reveal.
The house has a shallow plinth, a band course that runs above the ground and first floors, and a moulded stone cornice with a coped parapet. The interior includes a staircase that is contemporary to the building.
