Description
Two houses, numbers 22 and 24 Dollar Street, are likely from the 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed squared limestone with an artificial slate roof, and feature a large brick axial stack and a stack on the rear gable. The houses are two storeys with an attic, presenting a three-window facade. The first floor has three three-light windows with timber mullions and 16-pane fixed lights in the centre, flanked by four-pane casements. The ground floor has two similar windows to the right (number 22); a 20th-century bow window is located to the left (number 24). Three gabled dormers contain 19th and 20th-century two-light casements. Each house has a pair of six-panel doors, with the upper two panels glazed. A shallow plinth is present, alongside a cill band to the first floor, and a moulded stone cornice above the first floor. Flush quoins are visible at the left and right angles. The interiors were not inspected.
