Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house, now operating as a shop with a flat above, located in Cirencester. The front of the building is rendered with stucco, while the sides and rear are constructed of coursed squared limestone. The roof is covered in Welsh slate, and features ashlar chimney stacks at both ends, decorated with mouldings. The building has a three-storey, three-window facade. The first floor contains three sash windows with plate glass, set within moulded architraves and projecting sills. Above, there are three similar sash windows with two panes each. The ground floor has two matching plate glass sash windows in the centre, with a six-panel door accessing the shop on the right side. A similar door, with the top two panels glazed and a single-pane overlight in a round-headed architrave with a keystone, is on the left side. A deep plinth runs along the base, and there are band courses marking the ground and first floors. The interior of the building was not inspected.
