Description

This is an 18th-century house, now used as shops and offices, with alterations from the 19th century. The front of the building is stuccoed and colourwashed, with painted stone detailing and a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate, featuring wide eaves soffits supported by timber corbel brackets. It has a three-bay facade to Princes Street, extending along Westminster Street. The ground floor has 20th-century shops on both sides. The first floor has a central Venetian window flanked by pairs of 12-pane sash windows, with simple architraves, plain dividing mullions, and keystones on each window; the glazing bars have been removed from the lower casements. The second floor has a central double 12-pane sash window (possibly altered as the roof was changed later) flanked by two pairs of 9-pane sashes. Rusticated stone quoins are present. A side elevation features two round-headed sash windows, likely from the early 20th century. The interior was not inspected.
