Three houses, part of a terrace. 1838-1841, some C20 alterations. Stucco, tile roofs; side and rear elevations of brick, brick stacks. Three storeys and basement, 1:1:1 bays, plain pilaster to each side and between the bays, plain band at first floor level, cornice band; tripartite sash windows to second floor, decorative glazing bars in a gothick style; 16-pane sash windows to first floor. Number 4 with 2 two-centred head openings to ground floor; to left French windows, glazing bars, transomlight; to right, door opening, gothick panelled door, transomlight. Similar configuration to ground floor of numbers 6 and 8, except door openings with plain square heads; French windows with glazing bars, panelled doors with panelled sidelights. Plain lean-to verandahs, probably C20. Each interior with a co-eval staircase, turned balusters, moulded handrail; dado panelling to each hall; some fireplaces in stone surrounds with bulls-eye decoration; doors and plasterwork to each in a gothick style, particularly to ground floor, Number 2 Berrow Road although part of the terrace is altered and therfore no longer of special interest.
