Description

The drinking fountain, dated 1897, is located at the junction of Sea View and Berrow Road in Burnham-on-Sea. It features a single dressed stone pier with a moulded plinth. The upper section has an angled and moulded pilaster at each corner, adorned with acanthus decoration, and is topped with a cast iron urn. There are lion heads on the north and south sides that provide water into a Purbeck Marble bowl. The fountain is included in the register primarily for its landscape value.
