Description
Huish is a house that was once divided into two but is now a single residence. It dates from the mid-18th century and features Flemish bond brickwork with a rubble plinth and a tiled roof with coped verges and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with three-light casements that include glazing bars. To the right is a door opening in a 20th-century projecting outshut, which has a 20th-century glazed door. The main entrance is on the garden front, which has five bays and is predominantly made up of casements with glazing bars, along with a pair of French windows with glazing bars on the ground floor. There are two door openings with four-panelled doors and two gabled brick porches. To the north, there is a single-storey outshut with a tiled roof and 20th-century alterations. The house is thought to have been the manor house of the small local manor of Huish.
