Description
Nos. 5 to 10, East Reach, represent a mid-19th century terrace of houses stepped downhill to the right. The buildings are three storeys high and have slate roofs, with pantiles to No. 6 and tiles to No. 7. The windows are mostly sash windows, some of which are blocked, largely retaining glazing bars. Architectural surrounds frame the windows on the second floor, and there are two small three-light bays on the first floor of No. 8. Decorative window box holders are present on No. 5. The buildings feature a variety of shop fronts, with one original round-headed doorway at No. 9. The buildings are included in the listing due to their group value.
