Description
Nos. 11 to 19 Stanley Terrace is a terrace of nine houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house is two storeys high and has one bay. The properties have fascia boards, and the windows are topped with wedge lintels; half of the windows are sashed with glazing bars. The paired entrances share a common lintel, and the 20th-century doors have overlights. There are brick stacks on the roofs. Nos. 12, 16, and 19 have casement windows, and No. 12 features a four-panel door. The end bay of the terrace returns to Bridge Road, where there are two bays that are pebble-dashed and include an inserted shop front. This terrace is a good example of 19th-century workers' housing located on a pedestrian street with a central gutter.
