Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of four buildings, numbered 36 to 39, situated on Blackfriars Street. The buildings are constructed of buff brick with slate roofs and stone coping. The windows are mainly sash windows, with most of their original glazing bars intact, and feature stone sills. Numbers 38 and 39 have been altered to include later three-light bay windows. The entrances are marked by simple round-headed doorcases, each leading to a six-panelled door. Nos 36 to 39 are designated as a group of buildings of group value, and together with Nos 31 to 40, form another group.
