Description
Helen's Cottage is a house dating from around 1600, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from cob and coursed rubble, with the first floor rendered and a thatched roof. The building features a rendered end stack and an ashlar end stack. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor is adorned with three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, each with drips, while the first floor has three three-light windows. All openings are fitted with iron casements and square-paned leaded lights. The central door opening is framed by a massive wooden architrave with a peaked head, leading to a four-panelled door.
